How to Check for Spyware and How to Resolve Same

Hi there,

After a lengthy discussion with my ISP they wonder if I have spyware on my iMac, 10.5.7. I should also point out that I have Parallels 3 installed which runs Windows XP.

How do I first check and see if the Mac portion does have a spyware issue? Then, what is available for me to run a check and remove the possible spyware? Is it possible that the XP (SP3) side could have a spyware problem which has affected the Mac side? What can be done on the XP side to solve the problem there as well?

I just need to be sure that my internet is running at its best level. This is currently not the case, it is extremely slow so I need to find out why and the spyware is a possibility I have to resolve.

Thanks so much for any advice.

Lynn
