iPhone Instant Messenging Apps (MSN)

I have download a couple of Instant Messaging apps for my iPhone. I know this probably isnt the correct place to post it but i'm sure someone here might be able to help me.

I require MSN constantly online for work, the apps I have found push notifications to my phone when I receive a message but these only work for 5mins, 10mins, 15mins and 30mins consecutively after quitting the app.

Does anyone know a free IM program that will let me stay logged on for long durations of time after exiting the app and still allow me to recieve push notifcations on receipt of a message?

I have AIM and it sends push notification right away and leaves you logged in for up to 24 hours.

In the app that you are using is it an AIM app or can you use different accounts within it as I really need access to my MSN messenger.

Get a Yahoo Messenger account and add your MSN contacts. Now enter your phone number and sign in on your mobile device (i.e. using your phone number). you will appear as being on your mobile to your contacts and they can send messages back and forth. Keep in mind that this will use your texting plan and doesn't require any local downloads to your phone.

Just another option.

Will this work in the UK?
My phone is a pay and go so will these eat into my credit using this method?

Get an app called IM+. it's not free but it does exactly what you want, and it works in the UK. it works with MSN, Facebook, Skype and a few others. I use it all the time.

There's an app called "Beejive" which lets you define a session timeout period of 24 hours.
