I am trying to import songs I bought on iTunes into a slideshow on iMovie and it keeps giving me a computer authorization message that this computer is not authorized. It directs me to "Open iTunes" and log in so that this computer can become an authorized user of the content. So I open iTunes and log in and it gives me a message saying this computer is already authorized. So you'd think then it would import the song, but no, gives me the same message over and over. I shut down computer, quit both programs, tried every combination of quitting/reopening and retrying that I can think of and it still won't work. These are songs I bought on this computer several months ago. I was planning to buy several more songs to put into the slideshow but what's the point if it's not going to let me use any of them. So frustrated! Please let me know if you have any ideas...

This was a problem with iTunes 8.0 or maybe 8.1. It has been fixed with the latest version of iTunes. Use Software Update to get the latest iTunes.

I had the same problem. I had to log into itunes> on a panel on the right side of the store>click itunes plus. On there is a list of your itunes that have DRM issues you need to buy. If you look in your imovie; when you pick a song, look at the little icon. You will find a lock on the corner.

I bought the tune i wanted for my movie for .30 cents. Then It was free. Total cost for my song $1.30.

I guess from now on if I want to use it for imovie> pay 30cents more.

This might work for you. I did for me.
