Charger Rip

I don't know how but for some reason the cable between the adapter and my macbook has ripped in a way where cover has exposed the cabling of the charger. I was wondering whether i would be able to send it into apple or an apple store and get it fixed.

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.5.6), iPhone 3GS 32GB

It cannot be "fixed" but it can be replaced provided the computer is still in warranty. If none of the wires are damaged or bared, then you can just wrap some electrical tape around the area to "mend" it.

SEVERAL TIMES!!! MY rechargeable cable got torn and snapped due to normal twisting and bending of the cable- I have noticed that the weakest point on the cable is stressed especially near the supplied plastic cable clip on the cable that could be a malfunction of its design, and material selected- making it impossible to replace free of charge even though I have paid for the extra $$$ for the 3 year warranty. I have called many times to the customer service to explain this and to ask for a replacement but never got any where with any of them. I was told to buy a new one every time I have called but rather than buying another whole new set I would much rather choose a more economical and enviromental solution by replacing only the damaged part-which is only the nearest cable to the magnetic charging point on the laptop. Even though I have sent the damaged goods personally to Apples local repair center in Hong Kong and have requested only for the one damaged component to be replaced they made me wait 2-3 weeks for them to reply while having no other way to charge my laptop but to buy a new set and when they did reply they again told me Apple suggest I just buy another new one. Now today I have notice my 1 month old rechargeable cable is twisted again near the supplied cable clip and the skin of the cable is peeling off and sparkling when plugged in. I am truly disappointed with this product and have spend nearly $400 USD or 50% of a new laptop so far on new chargers!!!! HELP!!!!

They don't do repairs of that nature. They would need to replace the entire charger. It doesn't sound like some of the more common problems with respect to the casing coming loose from the MagSafe connector... which could be argued as being a defect. This sounds like something that you probably did that sliced open the shielding. You'll probably have to shell out the $$ for a new charger.
