Quicktime 7 is not working

I use iMovie to edit video and I know it works with quicktime to play back the video. Ever since I upgraded to Tiger and Quicktime 7, all my movies are playing slowly and it is impossible to edit them now. I wish they had a QT 6.5 reinstaller for TIGER! I'm thinking that maybe my computer can't handle QT 7 maybe because I need a new graphics card?
Any help?
Thanks

Try the Audio MIDI Setup (Utilities folder). Set the audio output to 44100Hz and try the file again.
Tiger requires QuickTime 7. I suspect a third party conflict. Maybe a codec you downloaded prior to version 7 and Tiger.
Have you tried using a different user account? Make a new user and test the files. If they work as they should you'll find the conflict is in your Home folder.
