Who sells an iPhone-compatible Bluetooth watch?

I want one of those Bluetooth watches that have caller ID for my iPhone 3G firmware 3.0. The only one compatible with the iPhone I have found is the "Bluetooth Watch - Classic Edition" from BlueUnPlugged ( http://www.blueunplugged.com/p.aspx?p=122272 ), but it is discontinued.

Do you have or know of a Bluetooth watch with caller ID for iPhone that is not discontinued? Links please!

I asked ThinkGeek:
Is this watch at http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/watches/c16c/ compatible with my iPhone 3G firmware 3.0?

Thank you for contacting us. Yes, this watch should work with your iPhone.
If you have any more questions, please let us know.

What do you mean by should? If it does not, am I entitled to return it for a full or partial refund?
We do have a 30 day return policy, if you receive an item that is broken or defective, you can return it for a refund, replacement or gift certificate within 30 days of being purchased.
If you have any more questions, please let us know.

I think you did not answer my question directly, I'll rephrase: Yes or no, am I entitled to return the watch for a full or partial refund if the it is not compatible (or defective) with my iPhone?
As stated, If you return a defective or broken item within 30 days of purchase, yes you are entitled to a refund minus the initial shipping cost.

It is unconfirmed if this watch does indeed work with the iPhone.

Again, my question: Do you have or know of a Bluetooth watch with caller ID for iPhone that is confirmed to pair and work with the iPhone? Links please!

The ThinkGeek Bluetooth watch sorta works with an iPhone 3GS (running OS 3.1.2), but not fully.

The caller id works (but only shows the number - that is, it will not show the name of an incoming caller from your address book).

The SMS/MMS notification will NOT work at all, so if you wanted to be able to read messages - forget it.

It does allow you to silence the ringer on an incoming call if you see the number and choose not to accept the call. You can also answer an incoming call from your watch instead of pulling out the phone, but really, that's not too useful since you'd have to pull the phone out to actually talk to the person calling 🙂

It's a useful gadget if what you really want is for your watch to vibrate when you get an incoming call, and to be able to accept and reject calls from your watch. It's also useful if you have a habit of leaving your iPhone behind whenever you go someplace - you can set the watch to vibrate when you go out of bluetooth range - 5m or so. The watch then automatically re-connects to your phone when you're back in range.

There's an option to download your contacts details to your watch, but I've done it several times and this doesn't seem to actually do nothing. I'm not too sure why the feature is there at all, actually.

One thing I will say is that the manual which comes with the watch is written by someone who is seriously lacking a proper command of the English language, so pairing the thing with your iPhone involves invoking your inner-decyphering skills 🙂

I have tried many of these bluetooth watches and none of them fully work with any version of the iphone. Plus there are many functional problems irrespective of connecting to a phone. If you do a search on the net you will quickly see that it is not only a problem with the iphone, as most phones have the same problems. First, the caller ID does not work on most phones, including the iphone. I have read that if you put your address book on your computer, you can then download it to the watch from there, but I have not been able to get that working on any of my iphones. Secondly, if you walk a few feet from your phone, the connection totally drops, and you have to totally reconnect if from both the watch and the phone, unlike other bluetooth devices. In addition, the watch acts as a bluetooth headset and disables the speakerphone, etc. Basically, I think all of these watches use the same programmed chip, because they all work, or rather don't work, the same. So I have returned every one that I purchased.

Further to my previous post, I've now worked out that this ThinkGeek Bluetooth Watch (as DennyHayes quite rightly points out) like most others, simply connects to most phones as a headset with the speakerphone disabled.

What I have found however, is that this watch is a cheaper copy of the Sony Ericsson MBW-150 music watch (without the music functionality buttons down the left hand side).

Interestingly though, the way to get the caller id to work is to download the address book from your phone to the watch - but this only works with some phones. I have managed to get it working with a couple of BlackBerry phones. When I found out this watch was a copy of the Sony Ericsson MBW-150, I went out and tested every Sony Ericsson mobile phone I could get my hands on.

There is a list of compatible phones on the Sony Ericsson website at: http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/products/accessories/compatiblephones/mbw-150mus icedition?cc=us&lc=en. I have only tested about 5 of these, but I can tell these all work (including the MMS/SMS function.

More importantly, however, if you can get hold of one of these Sony Ericssons, you can connect it to the watch, download your address book, and then re-pair the watch with your iPhone. That done, the Caller ID will work with your iPhone.
