I tried to connect iTunes to a remote NAS server, which always functioned without any problems. But now iTunes alerts me that the shared media library doesn't react (-3260) and that I should check if port 3689 is open.
How can I open it?
Thanks a lot

Hi,
thanks a lot. Exactly this is the problem (screenshot on
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1447). Unfortunately, this page refers to OS X.4. And there is no equivalent for X.5 there.
Head to System Preferences -> Security -> Firewall tab. Then make sure "Set access for specific services and applications" is the selected option. Then click the add button, and choose iTunes from the list. Also, make sure it is set to "allow incoming connections."
%$&§ Windows machine! On one Mac, the iTunes folder shows up normally, on the other, I have no access. There's that traffic sign, and I can't change anything there, as it's a &%$§ Windows NAS.
