Panasonic HDC-SD20 Import

Does anybody know how to import the clips from a Panasonic HDC-SD20 camera? It stores the videos on an SD card and then you have to connect the camera via USB or take the SD card out and then copy files over.
Thanks in advance!

After you copy all of the files intact (folders and all) to a hard drive, open the log and transfer window in FCP. (shift cmd8) Navigate in this window (click on the folder icon with the plus sign on it) to those folders and the clips should show up there. Choose ProRes for the format from the Log and Transfer window's preferences found under the cog wheel icon in the window, or the Intermediate Codec. the AIC codec will result in smaller files, but the quality of the video will take a hit using it.

The resulting files will be placed on your scratch disk, and in your browser. These files are pretty large so you definitely need to be putting them on a drive other than your startup disk.
