my safari 4.0.2 seems compromised

i noticed that at the end of this page i was just viewing, there was a ton of gibberish text.. making no sense.. upon closer inspection it looks like pharmaceutical spam.

this does NOT appear when i visit this page in firefox.

im on safari 4.0.2, on a macbookpro.

for reference, the site in question is a page on the USGA site: http://www.usga.org/HandicapFAQ/handicap_answer.asp?FAQidx=3

and i uploaded a screenshot of what im seeing in safari: files.me.com/rob.fissmer/qz4cfn

how do i deal with this apparent compromise?

MacbookPro, Mac OS X (10.5.7)
