Is 'Fat Cat iPhoto Library Manager' safe to use?

Hi there,

I downloaded 'Fat Cat's iPhoto Library Manager' today in the hopes of getting to grips with my 22+GB library... but after a few hours of creating some new libraries I've got a case of the willies! Is this a safe program to use? Is anyone else using it?

I only got my mac a few months ago (was a PC user ahem...) and have a crazy mix of photos - from scans of old family pictures, various phone photos, huge high res tiff scans, photos from friends cameras, e-mailed photos, our own old camera's etc etc etc.

Organizing any new pictures is a breeze, it's all these old ones with odd dates and so on that I'm having trouble getting my head round. Have no idea where to start! I thought 'Fat Cat iPhoto Library Manager' was a good idea but need some reassurance/advice before I go and potentially muck things up even further...

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.7), Also have iMac

Hi TD,

Thanks for your quick response. I've done a little looking and there doesn't seem to be a major issue with it. But,

I noticed in many of your posts you suggest holding down the option key while launching iPhoto to select/create a new library. Forgive me if I sound like a numbnut, (was always told not to be embarrassed to ask dumb questions...) Do I even need an iPhoto Library Manager then, if I can create new iPhoto Libraries like this? I just thought I was stuck with the one Library?
