Getting rid of second line overhang with bullets

The text and bullet indenting are controlled in the Text Inspector, in the List tab. You should be able to set the Text Indent there, which controls where all the text aligns to.

The text indent does indeed move both rows of text, but it should align both to the same left margin. That is, it controls the indent of all the text, and thus ensure that all the lines of text line up the same.

How are you making the bullets? Are you using a template with a bulleted body, or are you using a text box?

And just to be clear, you do want a hanging indent for your bullets, such that the bullet itself hangs outside the bullet text, which is all aligned to the same left margin?

I'm still not completely clear on what you did, but if you are seeing both a bullet indent and text indent control in the List Inspector, then that should definitely independently control where the bullet starts and where all lines of text start.

If you add text to a slide that uses a master with bullets on it, do you notice the same issue?

The source of your bulleted list may be pertinent to this discussion. Did you copy it from a Word document or from the web, or did you type it in directly?

A couple things to double check is that they all have the same indent level (Inspector>Text>Bullets). And also that you have the the text set to left align (I believe most default to Center, which would cause the text to not correctly line up on the left side).
