I'm not sure what you're asking, you seem to already know the answer... export the song from GB, open it in QTPro and export it as a mov

Do you know if there is a way to take audio files recorded in Protools and import them into Garage Band.

If you can export (or convert) each PT track as a 44.1k, 16-bit AIFF, Mp3, AAC, or WAV file, you could drop those into the GB timeline. That's the only way.
