About ZFS on MacOs

ZFS is definitely for experimenters and developers only. It's absolutely not ready for use by the general public; there are far too many limitations and issues involved. If you're willing to risk the possible problems and have a system you can use for testing and experimentation - you would not want to put ZFS on a production system or otherwise one that you depend on for day-to-day operation - you can give it a try. The most recent release is just over a month old now. There is a mailing list for discussions about ZFS on Mac OS X here which you should probably peruse:

As to ZFS in Snow Leopard, all mention of it has been removed from the Mac OS X Snow Leopard Server pages. You can draw your own conclusions from that.

What about the stability of ZFS from macosforge? There is any news about it on Snow Leopard?

to the very best of my knowledge there is not a single mention of ZFS in any official info currently released by apple about snow leopard. more I can not say here because of the forum rules but this should tell you something. if you want unofficial info consult other websites.

Well, I did experiment with it a bit, enough to know how unready it is for general use. But the ZFS mailing list would definitely be the place to find out more.
