Question re. ATY, RV250 Graphics card (ATI Radeon 9000)

Hi,

I have never changed that the original graphics card which came with my G4 (ATY, RV250), but I now want to purchase a new monitor, which I would like to connect to card via the DVI connection and so was just wondering what the maximum resolution is for this card? Will it display 1900x1200, as this seems to be the resolution most monitors seem to come in?

This Apple spec sheet for the 1.25G SP MDD with the Radeon 900 Pro says:

(Digital): 1920x1200
(Analog): 1600x1200

It doesn't specify what color depth it supports at these setting.

Many thanks for your prompt response Allan. I appreciate it and thanks for Link, that was also a great help.

It would be still very useful to know if anyone has had any problems trying to display at 1900x1200 using this card? And also any recommendations for good 24 or 26" monitor. Have been considering Dell 2408, Samsung 2693HM or HP LP2475W.

I used the 9000 Pro with my 23" Cinema Display (1920x1200) with no problem whatsoever.
I have even connected it to a 32" LCD TV, and had fair resolution options with the card.

1920x1200 is not a problem with that card.
