iPod Touch's songs list not in alphabetical roder

I was just listening to music one day and went to the songs list, wanted to search for a song in the "T", which was The Hardest Part by Coldplay, but the weird thing was that it appeared in the "H", plus the order of letters was from "T" to "H" to "T" or something, I would thank if someone could tell me if this has happened before to others specially.

I'm not sure which firmware version you're using (or which iPod ... is it a 1st or 2nd generation Touch?). On my 2nd gen Touch with 3.0 I do not see the "letter header" briefly change to "T" when I scroll past a song that starts with "The". Where are you seeing this?

In any case, the change in letters could be explained as a difference in how the song is sorted vs. the actual 1st letter of the song. On the Classic you'll see this if you do a "quick-scroll" to bring up the scrolling letters -- when a song or Artist comes into view that starts with "The" the letter would briefly change to "T". I can't remember if Apple fixed this little bug, maybe something similar exists on the Touch.
