Just installed iLife 5. When I attempt to open GB I get a message......"TIMEOUT
OR TIMER INACTIVE check other applications using timer or Midi (Code 0)".
What do I do to get get GB initialized and running?
Themio,
Did a search on google for Apple midi code 0 and came away with some interesting info. Do the same. www.google.com-
Apple midi code 0 and you may find your answer.
There are a few contributing factors to this error code. I am sure that one of the expanations will help.
Thanks Bill. Found no answer to my problem on Googles " Apple Core Midi" site.
Also tried removing Emagic driver from systema s another user had suggested. No luck there either. Have ordered OSX 4 Tiger. Hopefully when I install the new system it will restore core midi. Since I understand Tiger does
not contain Garageband, I can only hope. Will let you know if this solves my problem........Themio
Hi Bill: Once again.thanks for your help. GB2.0.2 is up and running, Core Midi has been restored and Midi Setup is functioning well. The culprit turned out to be Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0.4. I trashed it, went to Adobe website and downloaded and installed Acrobat Reader 5.0 which was included in the original OS of my G4. Halleluia! All immediate problems solved..Will still install OS 10.4 Tiger and hope all systems remain GO. Regards, Themio
