I forgot my 4-digit parental control password. How can I reset it?

2008 MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.8), 2.4 GHz, 4GB RAM, 320 GB HDD

i think you may have to restore the appleTV to factory settings (press and hold menu + down button until the amber light appears, then follow until you get the option to restore to factory settings) and then do all your settings again...

but i think there may also be a "reset" in there too (in the same menu as restore or in settings somewhere not sure..) but that would reset everything without actually starting right from scratch..

Oh man.... any way to do it without deleting all of the stuff I transferred over there from my computer? That took so long.

Unfortunately the purpose of parental control is to stop anyone bypassing its protection, if there were a way around it, your kids would likely find it.
