Getting photographs onto Philips TV

I have just bought a 1TB Time Capsule and want to get photographs from my iphoto library to a Philips TV (42pf9803h). The TV is connected through an Ethernet cable. According to the TV manual, the only software to get photographs to the TV using OS X is a software called "Twonky". It works, but not well at all. Does apple offer nothing but Apple TV to get digital content onto a TV? Having just another box next to the TV is not appealing at all, especially thinking that in principle it works through the router from the time capsule as well.
