MIDI Input with a Casio Keyboard?

After buying this powerbook, I can't exactly afford of of those nice M-Audio Ozone MIDI Keyboards. But I did notice that laying around my house is a Casio CTK-620L Keyboard, and on it, it has a MIDI Input and output connector.

So my question is, if I buy myself a MIDI-USB/FireWire cable and hook it up, would I be able to use this goofy Casio keyboard with garage band?

These are actually decent features:
61 full-size illuminated keysTouch sensitive (with On/Off switch)
24-note polyphonic
128 General MIDI tones plus 9 drum sets

When using the piano you want the keyboard itself to be touch sensitive so it relays velocity data to the software.

24 note polyphonic is also decent. The real cheapos can be 8 or even 4 note polyphonic. This may mess up your MIDI note entering. Your keyboard can play 24 notes at once.

Another thing I have done is record my Yamaha's drum beat (if I do not have an Apple Loop for the style I am looking for). If the keyboard has a fill button you can add fills as you are going along, making it sound less like a stilted drum machine.
