reggae rhythms (da riddim...) on loops

hello everybody,
I am trying to make demo which needs a reggae-beat. think "stir it up" or "lively up yourself" and related stuff. im the garage band loops that come with gb i can find nothing, that fits right in. has anyone in gb-land an idea, where i can find a couple of rootsy reggae loops? thanks a lot in advance

There are several reggae drum loops in GB. Many are software instruments that you can edit to get exactly what you need if they don't quite cut it. Then, of course, you can write your drum parts as well.

thanks scott, i already dicoveres the three rather slim island reggae loops in my gb. but i am really curious if somebody has anything flying around, that really swings....

You can do a google search for reggae drum loops and see what comes up. There are tons of free loops out there.
I prefer to just make my own drums, or edit a loop that is close to what I want. If you don't care about the ability to edit the individual drum hits, you might check out Drums On Demand, which has an fairly extensive library of real instrument loops and fills.

You can also look across the border - some of the midi hip hop loops (of which gb has tons) actually support a nice reggae beat. You might change the instrument to something more "natural" and adjust the tempo to what you need - sometimes it's fun to just try out loops and not only look at their label.
