intermittant unexplained 'ding-dong' chime on macbook
bought a macbook a few months ago and i notice that every once in a while it makes a 'ding-dong' sound but doesn't explain what it means. it might be related to battery power perhaps, as i think it only does it when the laptop's unplugged. it doesn't do it when the battery power is particularly low, just now and then. who knows what it is? 🙂
nope, my email makes a different noise, and it happens when email isn't even running. it also does it whether plugged in or not so it can't be the battery either. *scratches head*
yeah mine does the same thing, but I have mine plugged in all the time and it still does it... I cannot figure out what it is.. the sound unlike I have ever heard on my computer
I'm pretty sure that the problem has been coming from the Connect360 pane. If the media sharing is enabled then go to Settings and uncheck the box that says "Play a sound when an Xbox 360 is discovered". That has got to be it... turned it off and no noise yet... we'll see
