Transferring from Zoom MRS-802

Hi all

Before I had a Mac I recorded songs on a Zoom MRS-802 MultiTrak. I now want to transfer them to my iMac G5. But the Zoom I have:

1) doesn't have a CD burner
2) doesn't have a USB interface (optional on some models I think)

Is is possible to connect the Zoom's midi to the iMac using my M-Audio USB bus-powered midi interface? It would be great to get these tracks on GarageBand (I have the iLife05 version).

Any suggestions would be gratefully received!

Phil

There's no way to transfer midi files from your MultiTrak?

Have you tried to connect your device via midi? If that works and the midi signals come through in GB, you should be able to record in GB while your device is playing. Assign the right midi channels to the tracks in GB so they split according to your original tracks. And make sure to set the same tempo and measure on both sides so you can drag your midi notes to the right position afterward, and everything should be fine.
