How do I get rid of the login page?

I've tried disabling the login page under System Prefs and Security and Accounts. Nothing works. I don't need this page because no one else is near my computer. It drives me nuts!

MacBook, MacBookPro, Mac OS X (10.5)

This happened to me after I restored my system when I got a new hard drive. My passwords also seemed to be messed up.

I'm not sure if this is what caused the issue with you, but I believe I fixed it by:
• Re-starting the system with my OS X CD in the drive
• In Utility mode, choose something like Log-in or preferences
• Changing your preference to log-in with or without the screen there.

I'm sorry this is not that specific, but try something like this with your disc in. I believe this fixed my issue!
