Error message

Everytime I'm attempting to record live guitar garageband stops and gives me an error message that says "Disk is too slow. (Record) (-10004)
What am I doing wrong?

What kind of machine do you have? Laptops have pretty slow drives. However, I use a PB G4 and don't have any problems recording audio to the internal disk.

This sounds like a pretty random fault, as your HD should be plenty quick enough. You could try repairing permissions and see if that clears it up.

Run "Disk Utility" stored in your Applications/Utilities/" folder
