Importing MP3 files into GB...strange happenings...

When importing mp3 loops, I can get two distinct loops into the song. Then whatever I try to import after that becomes a copy of the 2nd (or last) loop that was successfully imported. Anybody else have this problem?
The song has 10 tracks. I'm importing loops of speeches (flops by our president). They're tiny, like a sentence or two. The files I am trying to import are intact in the finder, but when they show up after being imported into the region in the GB window, they are a duplicate of the last thing I imported. I"ve tried bringing them in from iTunes, I've shutting the computer down and restarting. I'm dragging them into the track display in GB from a finder window.

I converted the files and dropped them into the GB. This time I got the content to appear in GB. The only issue is I've got to go back to iTunes and convert them with a correct sample rate. The rate is off, hence GW sounds like micky mouse and an idiot, I've got to shed the micky mouse part. I wasn't really paying attention the first time I did the conversion.
