MIDI TIMEOUT

Hi guys. Just bought my first mac os x 10.5.8 w/logic 9. I seem to have all the correct requirements. I also have a pro tools m box mini 2 with pro tools 7.1.1

I just installed logic and when I start it up I get this message:

Midi Timeout: Logic Pro has detected a MIDI timeout. Please restart your computer, then relaunch Logic Pro.
If the problem persists, update the drivers of all connected MIDI devices (including audio drivers with MIDI functionality) to the latest version. For instructions on removing older drivers, consult the manufacturers' documentation.

Am I missing something? I would think logic would work regardless of me not having the latest version of pro tools..i am stumped of someone could help I would be very greatful

thanks

Hi everybody,

In my Hd>Library>Audio>MIDI drivers i have:
EmagicUSBMIDIDriver (?)
NIUSBMIDIDriver (NI Kore1)

i'm feeling your woe mate, just hit me today.

workaround is to start a new project and import track by track till you see where the problem is coming from, if it reproduces itself at all.

may i recommend you bounce all your parts down too to audio, at least if it comes really on top there's the option of finishing your work on another sequencer
