I want to rebuild my laptop but I don't know where to begin

There are many experienced people on this forum who can help you.

It would help though if you could list which model iBook you have, how old it is, what size hard drive, and how much RAM it has.

What OS are you running, and is it up to date (ie OS10.4.11)?

Why do you think it needs rebuilding, and what do you mean by "rebuilding"?

Is the hard drive filling up? Do you have a separate hard drive for back ups?

Is it running slower than it used to? Is it doing something odd lately?

What maintenance do you run on it? Have you Repaired Permissions lately?

Your answers will give us something to go on.
