Roland GI 20 USB Driver Problem

I have an iMacG5 and have a Roland GI 20 USB interface for my 13pin guitar.I get
this message after succesfully installing the driver: Right when I turn on the unit.
"/System/Library/Extension/RDUSB0040Dev.kext" was installed improperly and
cannot be used try reinstall or contact vendor for update. There's nothing on the
Roland US site and the cdrom comes with OS9 drivers which cannot be used. Any suggestions?
Thanks

The Roland GI-20, for those of you who don't know, is a guitar-to-MIDI interface.

On the front end, you need a guitar with a Roland-compatible pickup installed, which is connected to the GI-20 by a special 13-pin cable. The unit outputs MIDI data through a USB cable which then goes to your computer.

I'm trying to get my Roland GI-20 working with GarageBand and Tiger this very weekend. I'll report back if I learn anything.

I would recommend checking with the MIDI Guitar discussion forum on Yahoo! Groups:

Well thanks for the headsup. Here's what's developed. I downloaded the latest
MacOX update and that did'nt work either but here's what did.I downloaded the'free' version of Stuffit or Unstuffit but even that did'nt help. I went to the
parent site of Roland (not US) and searched around for driver downloads in UK,Ger,etc. For some wierd reason the driver I downloaded from UK worked on the first install. It was listed as a Panther 10.2/10.3 just like the US site.So I now happily have my i2.13 playing right into GarageBand2.I don't know why the US downloads generated the driver crashes but they did no matter what I did to get a clean install. My iMac said the install was successfull each time and each time the same popup would show up with the above written error message.See if it works for you.
Thanks
Anthony
