Buttons Missing Of Screen

Hi
I just purchased a MacBook Pro, I use it in conjunction with my photography. When I opened my HDR editing software (Photomatix Pro) and edited a photograph, i could not access some buttons that had vanished off the bottom of the screen.
I also noticed while in Mail composing an email, when I tried to attach a picture that I had selected, the "attach" button had also gone off the bottom of my screen.
I just know this is going to be something simple, but I cant find it!
Can anyone advise please.

Try changing your screen resolution in your Display system preferences.

Thanks for your reply, I solved the 'missing buttons' issue with my photo editing app (Photomatix Pro) all I needed to do was collapse a section of the editing pane by clicking the 'down' arrow on one of the sections!!..... duhh!
I was used to editing on my imac where I had all the panes open due to the larger screen and had actually never had the need to close them before.
However I still have an issue with 'Mail'. When I am composing an email and I try to attach a picture, the 'cancel' and 'attach' buttons are barely visible at the bottom of my screen, I can still just get them but its a pain!
I have the need to maintain my highest screen settings due to detailed photo editing required.
Any suggestions with Mail.....??

Click the green button at the top left of the window.

Hi
Here's a screengrab of the missing buttons. Clicking the green button enlarges or reduces the page but still leaves the buttons inaccessible..... I can add the attachment by double clicking the attachment... but it would be good to get the buttons again.... 🙂
There is a simple answer but it eludes me..... :o)
Any more idea's...??

Try changing the display resolution to a lower value, and if that brings the buttons into view, grab the resize handle (bottom right corner) and make that dialog box shorter. Then change the resolution back to normal.

Hi
Well... I opened mail to try what you suggested, but first I thought I would try it once more, amazingly it was ok...?? I clicked 'attach' and when the window dropped down... there were the 'cancel' and 'choose file' buttons available..?
I have restarted and turned off my MBP a lot over the last few days, initially in the hope it would cure it, but it never....
So I am none the wiser, but happy to have full function again. 🙂
