Installing Microsoft Silverlight

I've had a look and can't find any other posts dealing specifically with this issue, and also was unsure where was the best discussion to post this to so please forgive me if you feel that this is the wrong place.
I am trying to view a website which uses Microsoft Silverlight. I have tried installing the plug in (v1) as indicated by the apple download page. I have installed it and have tried then using Safari and Firefox but neither of them appear to recognise the plug in and the website keeps asking me to install the plug in. I'd be grateful if anyone had any suggestions as to why this may not be installing. I have tried installing it with no applications running and preceded by and followed by a restart. Any other suggestions?

PowerMac G5 2.5Ghz Dual + G4 1.67Ghz Powerbook 2Gb RAM, Mac OS X (10.4.11), 30Gb iPod Video + 20Gb 1st Generation ipod still working well!

Hello, Thank you for your input. The site in question is:

http://www.dephoto.biz/
According to the silverlight compatability chart then it should work on my system.

The pages which won't view are the actual photos themselves. The front page functions and its possible to get to the links to the photos themselves but not to view the photos.

Any further thoughts would be helpful.
cheers
