remove double click to search?

Is there a way to remove the double click going to the search page?
I have my phone set up to when I double click it goes to my phone favorites but somehow it only does that sometimes and it mostly goes to the search page. How do I turn that off?
I just want to double click and it go to my favorites not search.

I also have double-clicking the home button going to my phone favorites, but I haven't experienced the same.

If you haven't already done so, try an iPhone reset, which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release - ignoring the slide to turn off prompt when doing so. An iPhone reset does not affect any data or settings.

Well I guess there is no way to remove this Feature huh?
No matter how hard I try, I just can't get the right amount of time in to get it to go to Favorites. Too frustrating. I guess I'll just forget it and just go to the phone first and then to favorites.
I wish they would remove that tap, search for those of us who don't have a billion things on or phones that would need a global search.
Oh well.
