Airport not working after Upgrade 10.5.8 to 10.6

Is it Airport which does not work, or are you not able to connect to your wlan?
'cause my Airport seems to work (can see all the networks in my range) but I can not connect to them!

I'm also having a similar issue.. I'm still getting hit with the same problem that hit me while I upgraded to 10.5.8, was hoping Snow Leopard would fix it up but I'm getting still intermittent connection issues.

The thing can't seem to hold a stable connection, yet all the other computers in the house can perfectly.

Are you trying to activate AirPort on the built-in interface or via a third-party card of some type?

My roommate has the same problem. We both installed SL on macbooks. Mine is a late 2007 black macbook and hers is only a couple of months old. I didn't have a problem whatsoever but on hers the internet won't work. I have done everything possible to make it work but nothing works. I hope someone can figure something out.

Something more than "won't work" would be helpful.

OK, your original post said you could not activate AirPort; that implies that the AirPort icon in the menu bar remained hollow.

Your latest post says you can activate AirPort, so apparently the issue is that you cannot connect to your network?

I'm just trying to understand where the problem lies.

This is exactly the same issue my roommate is having. We even did a reinstall and it didn't fix it.

Similar problem here, though I can connect to the wireless network (Airport at home, something else at the office) but I cannot get to the internet through the connection after installing Snow Leopard/SL. One other computer (macbook) and two iPhones work on both of those networks, but my Air just can't see the internet through them. However, when I plug in via Ethernet it's all ok. Any ideas?

OK, that implies that the proper AirPort driver for your system is not being installed at boot time.

If you look at your system.log log file (viewable via Applications->Utilities->Console) do you see any messages related to AirPort?

Funnily enough, I just checked the network settings on my girlfriend's macbook and saw she had no DNS server listed. Deleted it and it now works like a (very nice and responsive) charm!
