Yahoo mail will not, "Load More Messages" on iPhone 3gs

When I go into my Yahoo mail account using the iPhone's mail app, scroll down to the bottom of my list in my inbox, and press the, "Load More Messages" button it will not load more. It's really making me upset. Anyone else having this problem? I have more messages to load but it just refuses to load them. Please help!
Thanks alot.

You're welcome.

How did you create your Yahoo account originally on your iPhone?

Do you have Push access with your Yahoo account?

If so, go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

Select your Yahoo account under the Accounts section, which is the first section.

At the bottom of account page, select Delete Account.

At Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars under the Accounts section, select Add Account.

If you currently have Push access for received messages with your Yahoo account, select Yahoo Mail and follow the prompts to re-create your Yahoo account on your iPhone.

I made the account using the add account button on the iPhone. How do I know if my yahoo mail account has Push access? Do I need to set that up on my desktop?

UPDATE: Now my hotmail account will not even give me option of loading more messages. It just shows the 25 most recent (an option I know you can change) emails with no button to load more. I still can't figure this one out. Thanks again for all the help.

If you used the Yahoo account preset when creating the account - you selected the Yahoo Mail logo after selecting Add Account, the account was created as an IMAP account with Push access. You can enable or disable Push access for the account. If Push access is disabled and you have the Fetch setting to automatically check for new messages, the account will be checked automatically for new messages based on your Fetch setting for this such as every 30 minutes, or every hour.

Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data > Advanced.

Select your Yahoo account, and the options should be Push, Fetch, or Manual.

Hey Alan thanks again for the advice but what you suggested did not help/work. On my Yahoo account there is still and option to load more messages, but when I push it, it sadly still fails to load anymore messages. Question? Do the messages have to be unread for them to load? This is really starting to bug me because I can't go back and look at my old emails.

Also with my hotmail account it still will not even give me the option to load more messages. It's really frustrating.

And a final note: I tried to add my yahoo account on my wife's iPhone and it behaved exactly the same way (meaning it would give me the option to load more messages but when I asked it to, none would load)

Sad face.

You won't lose any data or settings with a restart or a reset. You will with a restore but you have the option of restoring with a backup to get all your stuff back. Your contacts, apps, music, video, etc should be synced with the appropriate application so you won't lose that.
