iDisk gives error "Your iDisk is unavailable"

Ever since I installed Snow Leopard, my iDisk has been a problem. If I simply click on iDisk from Finder I get this message:

*Your iDisk is unavailable.*
Make sure you are logged in to your MobileMe account, and then try again to access your iDisk.

Well, I made sure I was logged into mobileme from system preferences. I signed out, signed in, reset sync services from mobileme preferences. And did this command line in Terminal:

/System/Library/Frameworks/SyncServices.framework/Versions/A/Resources/resetsync .pl full

Nothing really seemed to work. Also went to the iDisk tab in mobileme preferences, and it said iDisk Sync:Off, so I clicked on Start, and it gives me the following error:

*File Sync*
Unable to turn on iDisk syncing. Please try again later.

I'm fresh out of options. If anyone can help.

I resolved my issue by reverting to a clone of my drive before I installed SN and removing a couple of apps that are incompatible with SN: cocktail, & istat. I then did the simple install and everything works and seem quicker as well. The one thing I forgot to do before the install was repair permissions again but I did it afterward with no problem.

That is not a Snow Leopard issue. That has been an ongoing problem even with Leopard. I constantly got that error a few times a week. Logging out of MobileMe and back in solved it.

What is really annoying about the iDisk is how slow it is in the Finder, both with Leopard and Snow Leopard. It is very responsive using the web access (me.com), but extremely slow in the Finder.

It is in some ways a relief to find this thread - now I know it is not just me having these problems. But I am very frustrated with APPLE's inability to support or sort this. I have tried all of the above and it has got me nowhere - so I posted the following on various forums but so far have not recieved any helpful advice.

After 4 hours of phone calls and online chat with Apple I am here to ask the EXPERTS - Please help

I cannot access iDisk through finder - either off the icon bar to the left or via GO. I get one of two messages - iDisk is not available, or after being presented with a login window I get a message saying I have used the wrong username/password.

Now here is the thing
1. I am logged in correctly in System Preferences
2. I can sync
3. I can upload via iWeb
4. I can login over the net
5. I can login on my G4 Laptop (through Finder)
6. I can access my public area no problem (through finder)

BUT I CANNOT LOG ON TO MAIN iDISK AT ALL

This is now also effecting my use of SOE Tools so I cannot update iWeb headers and keywords anymore.

I run an Imac and have updated to Snow Leopard in the last week (perhaps that is the problem?)

Any new ideas would be great

Thanks
