Video card replacement for Mac Pro 1.1 (2006 purchased April 2007)
Hi all, Can anyone tel me if this card is compatible with my Mac Pro:-
ATI Radeon HD 4870 Graphics Upgrade Kit for Mac Pro (Early 2009 or Early 2008)
The ATI Radeon HD 4870 includes 512MB of GDDR5 memory, uses the PCI Express 2.0 interface, and includes one Mini DisplayPort and one dual-link DVI port?
I know it states early 2008 but I'm not sure if that rules my MP out as some threads on here seem to suggest it is compatible. If it's not, am I now stuck with the one choice in the UK i.e. Ati Radeon X1900 Xt or is there others? I'm about to update to Snow Leopard and thought a video upgrade may be essential as I have the NVidia GeForce 7300GT at present.
I hope someone will be kind enough to advise me
