Anyone using Logitech's MX Revolution mouse?

Logitech has not released a version of Control Center that works with SL but you can assign Exposé functions with SL's Exopsé & Spaces pref pane.

First, change your mouse button assignments in the Logitech CC. Make them Advance Click buttons numbered 3 and up. Then in Exposé preferences, assign All Windows to Mouse Button 3, App Windows to Mouse button 4, etc etc.

I use the VX Nano and this works just the same.

In some cases after installing snow leopard you have to reinstall logitech control centre because it says "Logitech Device not found"

However, because LCC is not official Snow Leopard software it will tell you it can't install on "this version of osx" so you have to right click on the installer and navigate to Contents>>Resources>>Logitech Control Center.mpkg then double click this file and it will install LCC. Restart and LCC works. With mine it remembered all my settings too.

I have heard that this doesn't work for some people, don't know why. It worked for me though and maybe for others! 🙂

had the same situation....it works with the mx revolution once reinstalled lcc but the dinovo keyboard (not the Edge) suffers from the F keys not all working....wondering how the DiNovo Edge for Mac manages this.

I have had problems with my cordless click plus rechargeable mouse. I have tried re installing the control centre using all of the above methods but still get the no device found message. I really do miss my extra buttons.

did you uninstall lcc first then install again or just install with the original installe dalready?

I lost the "Spaces" and "Expose" functions on my Logitech mouse. Snow Leopard moves those applications to the Utilities folder. If you copy them back to the Applications folder or better yet put an alias for those to apps in the Applications folder you should be good.

the other way of achieving this without moving any apps is to change the spaces/expose button settings in lcc to keystroke and then select the f key which is for spaces

You'll need to change the spaces f key to something else first though otherwise it'll keep launching spaces when you select it in lcc. Then change it back afterwards

If it helps anyone here, I spent a few minutes this morning exploring how Snow Leopard views each button on my Logitech Revolution MX +without the LCC software installed+.

Side button (front): “Mouse Button 5”
Side button (rear): “Mouse Button 4”
Side wheel (slid forward): “Mouse Button 9”
Side wheel (slid backward): “Mouse Button 11”
Side wheel (clicked): “Mouse Button 13”

The thumb wheel cannot have button assignment with advance click. Guess I'll have to uninstall snow leopard. I should have learned my lesson when I did the Vista install, and got so mad I switch to a mac. Same new OS Woes......

Same problem. It seems the LCC only works in 32 bit mode not 64 bit. Logitech say they are currently working on a update for Snow leopard (64 bit).

I had no trouble with my MX Revolution from the start. Installed SL and just carried on. All functions that I use are just as they were in Leopard.

I'm using the wireless trackball. Although I have reinstalled the Logitech control center, which recognizes the ball and allows me to configure it, button functions are not good. The button click is not recognized within certain menus - programs which do not work properly include Garage Band and OpenOffice. The menus roll down, but clicking on an item has no effect.

I too lost the ability to use the scroll wheel button which was assigned to expose when I had Leopard.
I tried Simon Gamble's approach and problem is now solved. Just assign the expose keystroke to the scroll wheel button in the control centre.
