"Put back" feature is missing

Just installed Snow Leopard to an empty hard drive and everything seems to be working except there's no Put back option if I right click on items in trash.

Do I have to enable it somehow?

Same here, can't seem to find the "Put back" command anywhere.

Edit:

This is what it says on http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3737?viewlocale=en_US

Restoring deleted items to their previous location

If you put an item into the Trash from your Desktop or Finder window, you can restore it to where it was before it was placed in the Trash (if you haven't emptied the Trash yet).

Open the Trash (item 15 above) by clicking on it in the Dock. Select the item(s) to move back, then choose Put Back from the File menu. Or, you can Control-click or right-click the item and choose "Put Back" from the contextual menu.

For my case, I dragged and dropped from my stack into the Trash. I found that if you delete from Finder, the option becomes available.

Another interesting point I noticed - I deleted some music files from iTunes and when I opened the trash the "put back" option is not there. But if you delete a music file from a finder window or the desktop then the put back option is there. Not very intuitive. I had to come to this forum to discover that it only works IF you delete from a finder window. It is a cool feature but doesn't work under all circumstances.

On a related note, the new dock has multiple levels of dock-like files and folders, which makes it quicker to access a file, but if I want to add a file to a folder in the dock, it won't let me do it, the docked folders just disappear when I try to grab the file I want to inset. I have to find the folder on the hard-drive, double-clicking all the way there. So far, OS 10.6 *****!
