HP Deskjet 3650

HI,

Might be a corrupted printer preference file.

Locate a file that reads similar to this.

com.hpdeskjet.plist or com.hp.plist

/Users/YourName/Library/Preferences. Drag that file to the Trash, empty the Trash and restart your Mac.

See if that helps...

I'm checking on the status of the Deskjet 3650. Once I know more I'll post. Right now there is really nothing I can recommend to install to get it working since we never posted a 10.5 installer for it, it was only supported by the In-OS drivers.

I got my Deskjet 3650 to work by using the OpenPrinting/MacOSX/hpijs drivers.

Go here:

http://www.linuxfoundation.org/en/OpenPrinting/MacOSX/hpijs

Install Ghostscript, then Foomatic-RIP, and then hpijs. Now open the System Preferences, choose printers, and it should know which driver to select. Works like a charm for me.

Sure, it's a lot of trouble to go through, but with this frankly unacceptable level of support from HP, what else are you going to do?
