Question

how to get photos from iPhoto onto iPod Touch

I have thousands of photos recently added to iPhoto, but can't figure out how to get them on to our new iPod touch. Help!!

Flat panel iMac, Mac OS X (10.4.6)

Use the Photos pane in iTunes when your iPod is connected to select which photos sync to your iPod's Photo album.

Select Sync Photos from -> iPhoto.

You can sync all of them, selected events, or selected albums.

I recommend creating albums within iPhoto for the ones you want synced to your iPod and then selecting those albums to sync.

Jim, thanks for your response. However, I cannot find the Photos pane. Is it supposed to be on the left side where Music, Movies, TV Shows... all are? If so, we don't have a Photos pane, and the MacBook we're using is pretty new (May '09).

no. on the right side 'overview' screen when you plug your iPod in, alongside the other tabs that control what you are syncing to your iPod.

Connect your iPod to iTunes, and select it under "Devices" in the left sidebar. Then the main window will show your sync options.
