Error when trying to calibrate color after installing 10.6

After installing Snow Leopard, when trying to calibrate the screen it gets to the end and then reverts back to the crappy default snow leopard calibration and says:

"An error occured. The new calibrated display profile could not be created or set to be the current profile for this display."

also, I noticed they spelled "occured" wrong. It should be "occurred" no?

You didn't say what you're using to calibrate your screen. (Hardware calibration or software - hardware is always more accurate)

Personally, I use ColorMunki Photo (Software version 1.1) to calibrate my 24" LED Cinema on my Mac Pro and it worked perfectly. This little device is a godsend for colour critical work (thank you X-Rite people).

The 1.1 software produced a profile which runs on my display and I was able to profile my printers based on the display profile, so what I see on screen is pretty much what comes out the printer (no nasty darker or lighter prints)
