whats up with this. Now, since i upgraded, i can't connect to my office computer using remote connection. I can still open up the VPN but not the remote desktop connection software. Any help?

While I'm at it, MS office ***** on the upgrade, period. It runs really slow, and it chugs at times. It often doesn't quit properly. Thats it MS, you are no good. Time for iwork.

    Try repairing permissions.

Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

You aren't alone with MS Office issues... there are other posts with similar complaints.

Having same problem. Have iMac and MacBook I use at home to connect to Windows computer at work thru a VPN. After upgrading with Snow Leopard family pack, the MacBook still connects fine, but the iMac does not.

Repairing permissions did not resolve the problem. Any other ideas?

I use RDC 2.0 to connect to my PC on my LAN and after the SL upgrade it crashed. Then found that MS updated to 2.01 on 8/11/09 and now it seems to work.

I had a similar problem. Doing some more troubleshooting after my post above as I saw a couple of entries referencing Stop Light keep popping up in the log of the Console. I removed Stoplight and Cocoa Gesture (for good meausre) and RDC 2.0.1 started working. I think it is Stop Light which causes RDC stop working, but I don't have to time right now to put Cocoa Gesture back to confirm that. I might if I have the time or post here if you have Stop Light installed as well and removing it resolved the RDC issue for you.

ok i've updated and the program now starts..but now their is another problem, every time it connects it says kicks me off immediately and says "You were disconnected from the Windows-based computer because of network problems." then underneath that it says verify that your network and internet are working and try again. my internet is obviously working..lol, and VNC and connecting to the hard drives shared from that computer all works fine just cant use RDC. Any ideas?
