How to export from iMovie 09 to iDVD 09

I recently upgraded to iLife 09, and made my first movie in iMovie that was destined for a dvd. I was unable to "hand it over" to iDVD to simply burn. ( I don't need DVD menus or maps or themes -- I only want to burn the darn movie.) Believe it or not, I have David Pogue's book, and still can't do it. Can someone please tell me, click-for-click, how to "hand over" my movie for a simple burn. I'm sure this
is very easy...probably only a few clicks...but I must be missing one of them. Thank you!!

There is no small movie icon on the desktop. Here's what I did: After
making my movie, I pulled down the "Share" dropdown menu.
I clicked on "iDVD". A progress bar appeared and it took about
5 minutes to do whatever it was doing. When it finished, a large iDVD
window opened up. (But no movie icon appeared on the desktop.)
It says "New Project 1" in a blue box, against
a black background. On the right, there is a choice of themes.
The duration of the movie is 5 min 29 seconds. It has some
high-def in it, in case that is relevant. Thank you.
