I've been trying to use the Safari internet on my ipod but it doesn't work. I'll connect to a wifi network and I'll select the Safari internet and a error message pops on saying "not enough allocated memory" it didn't use to do that but then again I've always had problems signing into websites that I use... Can someone let me know how to get Safari to work. I can't use safari, itunes, weather, mail, stocks, or youtube applications without having the safari issue fixed. Please help!
I've tried connecting to other wifi networks when I'm at Starbucks and different cafes and it's hard to connect. That strength of the signal is always only 1 or 2 bars even if I'm right next to the wifi router. When it finally does connect to the wifi network and I try to go to any website it won't let me. It has that "not enough allocated memory" message pop on. My ipod stil has over 4GB left of free space.
Have you tried restarting the ipod? The iPod needs free RAM to run, It's not referring to the storage memory (the 4GB you mentioned). Press and hold the HOLD button on top of the iPod to shut down.
you may need to restore the iPod which will clear the ipod and sync the items back in. this should fix the problem if it's a memory or software problem with the ipod itself.
