Automatic Keyboard Backlight issues

Hope you all can help me out!

I bought a macbook pro 13" 2.26 yesterday, got it home and did all the updates it asked me too and then after the system rebooted the automatic function of the keyboard backlight has stopped working. Any ideas on how this can be fixed? Thanks alot!

Yes.

As I can do this on the keyboard.

No, you can't do the same thing. The keyboard controls adjust the light level of the backlit keys only if the ambient light is dim enough for the keyboard backlight to be active. In bright light, pressing those controls just gives the prohibitory sign. Try it in a bright room. LabTick overrides the ambient light control.

So, does LabTick light the keys? If so, it's a software issue. If not, it's a hardware issue. The fix will depend on which of those is the case.
