Canon CameraWindow not working in 10.6

Canon CameraWindow does not seem to be working properly in 10.6.

It will launch, but then gives me a "failed to initialise program error".

Should I download and install the latest software for my Canon camera?

I'm having a similar issue with Snow Leopard & Canon's Camera Window software (vers 7.0.0.12). After I plug in the camera USB cable, It detects the camera, starts up then hangs, I dont get the start up window, where you click "Transfer images". Image Capture works, but I like the CW software better, it has a better interface. I reinstalled the Canon software, no difference....nothing helpful on the Canon website.

This issue is not "solved." Using Image Capture is a work-around, not a solution.

When doing a series of image transfers from my PowerShot SD1100, Canon Camera Window remembers previous transfers and only downloads new photos. Image Capture does not remember, so each new image must be marked for download. Otherwise all photos transfer, resulting in duplicate files. That is a more complicated work flow.

My Camera Window is the most recent version, but continues to hang with the "failure to initialize" error message.

Either Canon or Apple should fix this soon.
