Kernel Panic in Snow Leopard

I just had my first Kernel panic in Snow Leopard. I haven't had one in a few years. The last time I did it was when I was putting in new RAM and the sticks I had were not matched. I never had any issues in Leopard. Is anyone else seeing this?

Kernel panics can happen because of incompatible drivers, bad directory (note with Snow Leopard you want Disk Warrior 4.2, as earlier versions may not work),
or hardware that is marginal. See my kernel panic FAQ*:

If you can check the log files, you might get a clue as to what might be going on.

Also check that all your drivers are Snow Leopard compatible. Here's a guide for printers and scanners:

Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Lisa and Theodore,
Please reread my post. I offered several solutions on my link. If none of them works, and you have no suggestions for dannyboy360 please start a new topic thread here:

You'll get a wider audience, and won't confuse dannyboy360 with solutions that don't apply to them.

My problem Kernel Panic and iTunes hangs seems to have been fixed.

I cleaned out SafariBlock from 2007, MacFuse from I don't know when, RealVNC's VNC server, and I carried out a PRAM reset (after verifying both my disk and permissions were OK).

Which was the fix I can't know, but probably the latter.

This is the exact same problem I'm having, continued and increasingly frequent kernel panics or a total lock up while the machine is running it's screensaver, usually in the middle of the night. Will come in and it'll simply be frozen.

Heavy use of AFP, at least 3 mounts at all times, Time Machine over the network, etc.
Tried updating to 10.6.2 and replacing the memory, so far no luck in solving.

Anyone have a fix?
