My Syncing process takes over 2 hours each time I sync my iphone 3G. Whats the Deal ? I dont have much music and about 20 apps.

Macbook Pro 15" 2.53, 4G, 250Gigs, Mac OS X (10.5.7), iPhone 3G, 3.0.1

Assuming your computer sports USB2 ports, you might first try reseting the USB ports by unplugging your computer from the wall AND removing the battery. Let it sit for a couple minutes, then put it back together and restart.

If that doesn't help, you might also look into a replacement iPod cable as a bad cable with poor data line connections can still barely work, but really slow.

Hi, thanks for answering and sorry for my long delay in responding back...

I currently use the newest MacBook Pro, and changed my iphone cable line to see if that was the problem.

I'm still having the same problem, were the backup takes about 1 hour and sometime more, evening if I just added one new song or app, it takes a long time...

    OK, but did you ...

    ...as I originally asked?

I can't remove the battery. Using a MacBook Pro by Apple. It seems to be going faster now, since I removed some TV Show that were on the iphone. Which I could still keep them there though but its faster if I don't sync those show.

You are welcome. Ya, sometimes cables can go bad without actually failing completely, which makes people think it isn't the cable since it still sort of, kind of works. Thanks for posting back!
