Password Reset Utility - Windows Domain

Running a macbook - OS X 10.5. I'm connected to our networks server shares just as is - entering my username password manually during the first time mounting the network drive and saving to keychain. Our IT guy will not allow the macs on the domain (whatever)....

The problem I am wanting to overcome is how would I go about knowing my domain (Windows) password is about to expire as well as changing the password from my OS X Laptop.

There has to be a way around this as well as possibly some utilities to assist.

Easiest way I have found is to figure out what the policy is for the domain for password expiration and set a calendar reminder to tell you when to change your password. Assuming you have outlook web access you can change your password through that in the options...if you don't have outlook web access then I am not sure, but I would like a nice answer as well!

You can apparently only use the OWA method if your Exchange admin has that option enabled. I'm not sure why admins wouldn't want to enable it... but they must consciously do so. I still haven't found a way to do this via another method. Yay microsoft!
