JVC Everio GZ-MG630 + iMovie '08

Okay, i bought a video camera, and now it's not working. So, i'm taking it back and getting a new one. I have less than a week from now. I have been looking at the JVC GZ-MG630 Camcorder. What I need to know is how easy is it to use with my mac. Its a G5 with iMovie 08. Please help.

iMac G5 1.8GHz, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

yeah, I've checked that list, and checked it again. The JVC GZ-MG630 is not on the list. However, the camcorder I currently have, which is the one that doesn't work, isn't on that list, but it seemed to work fine on iMovie 09, which is on my friends computer. so, this question still remains - how easy is this to hook up to imovie 08 on a mac.
