What specific problem are you having when trying to send email from your Gmail account? If there's an error message, what is the exact text? What kind of account is this, POP or IMAP? More details are needed.Mac mini G4, 1.42 Ghz, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

As Golden Shoes suggests, check uot what Google says. You can also see my blog entry about how I set up Mail and Gmail.
A careful walk through of all options should reveal something.
Also, pulling down on Window and selecting Activity might give you some insight into what is going on.

Currently Being ModeratedOct 28, 2009 4:33 AM (in response to DrrnShfr)I had a similar problem with Mail. Could receive but not send. Go to preferences, account information, outgoing mail server (SMTP). From that dropdown list choose edit server list and choose Authentication: Password. Put in your user name and password. Mine had worked for a year without this information being in and then just stopped. Now it works. Hope this helps.Beige G3 OS 8.6, iMac 1.25 OS 10.3.9, MacBook 2.4, Mac OS X (10.5.8)
